WHAT IS A REGISTERED DIETITIAN?
A Registered Dietitian is a medical professional with an expertise in food and nutrition. We work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc. to provide nutritional counseling alongside other medical professionals. A Licensed Dietitian has been licensed by the state to provide nutrition services. We recommend always obtaining your nutrition information from a registered dietitian to ensure you are receiving trusted advice from a licensed professional.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES BALANCED EATS ACCEPT?
All of our payments are processed through our online platform, Healthie. We do not accept cash or check payment at this time.
Payments must be made at the time of the appointment
WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER DIETITIAN SERVICES?
Many health insurers will provide reimbursement for Dietitian services, especially if you have chronic medical diseases.
At this time we are not in-network for any health insurance providers, however we can still provide an opportunity for insurance reimbursement as an out-of-network provider.
If you are signing up for individual sessions, we can provide you with a Superbill to request reimbursement from your insurance. The Balanced Eats Package cannot be billed through insurance. Contact us for more information about insurance reimbursement.
WHERE DO COUNSELING SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
All of our services are provided through HIPAA compliant tele-health services on our online platform Healthie.
Counseling session take place over live video counseling.
WHAT IF I AM NOT LOCATED IN YOUR CITY?
We are based out of Dallas, TX; however, our Texas state license for registered dietitians allows us to provide tele-health consultation for individuals located throughout Texas.
There are certain restrictions on services to clients outside of Texas. If you are located outside of Texas and would like to sign up for our services, please contact us directly.
